ray software package provides parallel de novo genome assemblies of next-gen sequencing data, you can install in your Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install ray
ray is installed in your system.
Make ensure the ray package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep ray *
You will get with ray package name, version, architecture and description in a table
